About The Position

This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners. Mission Technologies is looking for a Senior Physical Security Specialist to join our team in Springfield, Va. This role will assist the Cognizant Security Officer with all aspects of physical security. This position will also back-up the personnel Security Team with visit requests, data input and escorting.

Requirements

• 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
• TS.SCI clearance required to start with ability to obtain CI Poly

Nice To Haves

• At least 5 years of experience in operating an ACS (LENEL),
• Experience completing Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC) and TEMPEST Checklists;
• Experience in Antiterrorism Force Protection (ATFP)
• Familiarity with SIMS Database
• Familiarity with Bluetooth Detection Devices

Responsibilities

• Manage an Access Control System (ACS) and Visitor Control.
• Manage an Intrusion Detection System (IDS).
• Manage a closed-circuit camera system.
• Create and implement an Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
• Create facility badges and key control.
• Develop standard operating procedures and emergency action plans.
