About The Position

The Application Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise web applications using LAMP technologies and modern application frameworks. This role will support application modernization initiatives, database integrations, API development, cloud adoption, and emerging AI-driven solutions while ensuring security, scalability, accessibility, and high performance.

Requirements

7+ years of experience developing enterprise web applications.
Strong experience with: PHP, Linux, Apache, MySQL
Experience with Laravel, Symfony, MVC frameworks, .NET/C#, or similar technologies.
Strong SQL development and relational database experience.
Experience with MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent databases.
Experience developing RESTful APIs and integration solutions.
Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, TFVC, or similar tools.
Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications.
Knowledge of secure software development practices.
Experience developing accessible applications compliant with WCAG and Section 508.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience with AI/ML technologies and enterprise AI implementations.
Experience with: Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, Intelligent Document Processing, AI-assisted Development Tools
Experience with NoSQL and vector database technologies.
Experience with enterprise authentication solutions including Active Directory.
Experience supporting large-scale government or enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, maintain, and support enterprise web applications using the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
Build modern applications leveraging frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, MVC, .NET/C#, or similar technologies.
Develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
Translate business and technical requirements into scalable application solutions.
Design and develop relational databases and data models.
Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integration processes.
Support MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and other relational database platforms.
Ensure data integrity, performance, and security across applications.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and middleware services.
Integrate enterprise applications with internal and external systems.
Support JSON/XML-based data exchange and application interoperability.
Troubleshoot integration and data synchronization issues.
Utilize version control and source management tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, and TFVC.
Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, release management, and application maintenance.
Participate in code reviews and follow SDLC best practices.
Maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
Implement secure coding practices and cybersecurity standards.
Ensure compliance with application security and data protection requirements.
Support testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
Design and develop web applications compliant with WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards.
Ensure inclusive and accessible user experiences across supported platforms.
Support cloud-based application architectures and modernization initiatives.
Evaluate and implement solutions leveraging AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.
Participate in projects involving: Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Intelligent Document Processing, AI-assisted Development Tools, Embeddings and Vector Databases, NoSQL Platforms.
