About The Position

The Senior Photographer independently produces high-quality photography documenting events and activities, including medical subjects and procedures, surgeries, news, and high-level events. The role uses specialized knowledge of medical procedures, advanced photographic technology, action photography, lighting-challenged or difficult-access settings, and aerial photography. It also supports clients in defining their photography needs and recommending appropriate techniques and creative approaches, while maintaining photographic equipment and assisting with staff supervision and training. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor's degree.
Intermediate customer service capability, including anticipating and responding to customer needs.
Intermediate networking capability, including building relationships through industry contacts, professional organizations, and individuals.
Intermediate system knowledge, including computer operations, network operations, or technical support.
Intermediate clinical knowledge, including patient care, medical terminology, and documentation.

Nice To Haves

News photography experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Produce custom, creative, and specialized photography using still cameras and other photographic equipment to document events or illustrate or record scientific data.
Assist clients by identifying and defining their photographic needs and recommending techniques and innovative approaches.
Determine camera settings, lighting requirements, and other specifications to ensure high-quality photography.
Apply knowledge of medical procedures, advanced photographic technology, action photography, challenging lighting or access conditions, and aerial photography.
Maintain photographic equipment.
Assist with supervision and training of staff.
