The Senior Phlebotomist, under the general supervision of the Phlebotomy Coordinator, is responsible for performing venipunctures, capillary blood specimen collections, point of care testing (POCT), and related procedures according to established hospital and Department of Laboratory Services policies. This role also involves assisting in the training and guidance of phlebotomy students and new employees, supporting the internal functioning of the Department and its integration into the overall healthcare system. The Senior Phlebotomist champions an organizational culture of Service Excellence and upholds these standards with all customer groups.
