In a world where sophisticated drones are commonplace, Fortem Technologies provides the most artificial intelligence (AI) based airspace safety and security solutions on the planet. Fortem Technologies is the only company that provides a military-tested, commercially available solution that alerts, identifies, and secures against drones and other non-cooperative objects in the sky. We value customer satisfaction, teamwork, flexibility, personal integrity & accountability, and a spirit of giving back to the community. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Phased Array Antenna Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced phased array antenna systems. This role involves electromagnetic modeling, beamforming design, and integration with RF front-end systems for high-performance applications such as radar. The ideal candidate has master's degree or doctorate in electrical engineering, or similar technical degree. As well as 7+ years of experience.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (PhD a preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in antenna design, with strong focus on phased arrays
  • Deep understanding of: Electromagnetics and antenna theory
  • Deep understanding of: Phased array principles (beam steering, grating lobes, mutual coupling)
  • Deep understanding of: RF/microwave circuit design
  • Hands-on experience with EM simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, CST, FEKO)
  • Experience with measurement equipment (network analyzers, anechoic chambers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for modeling and data analysis
  • Experience performing antenna and RF measurement using typical tools such as anechoic chambers, near-field measurements, VNA’s, spectrum analyzers etc.
  • Experience with schematic capture and layout tools, preferably Altium
