About The Position

The Senior Pharmacy Technician works in MD Anderson’s Retail Pharmacy, supporting safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication use and providing timely, safe, and compassionate service to patients and families. The role works alongside clinicians and uses pharmacy technologies in a patient-centered environment within an organization focused on cancer care and research.

The position is onsite. Working hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., four days per week, including weekends and holidays. The hourly pay range is $23.80 to $35.82, with a midpoint of $29.81.

The position may involve maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure and may require routine reviews and screening. Satisfying and maintaining any applicable security requirements is a condition of hire and continued employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
• Two years of pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, infusion center, or retail pharmacy.
• Ability to adapt within a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Nice To Haves

• Certificate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program or two years of college credit.
