Under the general direction of the Regional Pharmacy Manager, the SENIOR PHARMACIST is responsible for performing the duties of a Pharmacist; assisting the pharmacy management team with planning, implementing, organizing and supervising pharmacy activities; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a practicing hospital pharmacist.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the province of Manitoba.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities.
Demonstrated organizational abilities, initiative and judgement.
Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of position.
May be required to travel to other sites.
Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

Nice To Haves

Two (2) years supervisory experience in a Hospital pharmacy preferred.
Post-graduate education/training in a relevant field of study and/ or completion of a Pharmacy Residency program is preferred.
Demonstrated teaching, precepting and mentoring skills.
