About The Position

This role works in support of the Fine Fragrance Lab/creative lab. The Senior Perfume Laboratory Technician will independently compound complex fragrance oils, calculate chemicals needed, weigh, and mix in accordance with the formula. This position helps to maintain the perfumer logbook by recording formula, use, and customer information. The technician will also maintain stock of chemicals used and lab supplies, and must be familiar with the odor and physical appearance of basic raw materials. The ability to coordinate and provide information to sales and other internal departments, as well as to customers, is essential. The role involves entering and retrieving information via PC and may be assigned to special projects. This position will also serve as back up to the Lab Manager.

Requirements

• 5+ year in related experience
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Ability to detect if a raw material is contaminated.
• Ability to work well under deadline
• Must be familiar with the odor and physical appearance of basic raw materials.
• Must be able to coordinate and provide information to sales and other internal departments as well as to customers.
• Enters and retrieves information via the use of PC.

Responsibilities

• Compound fragrances for perfumer
• Prepares product samples for perfumer, evaluation and clients
• Assists quality control on fragrances for customer
• Assists laboratory manager to process and maintain Samtrack for profiles & resubmissions
• Maintains a fully stocked and clean work station
• Orders raw material to maintain a fully stocked laboratory
• Understand and execute all necessary requirements for ISO 9001
• Remain accountable for all defined responsibilities as defined by ISO 9001 process flows
