Senior Performance Support Specialist
About The Position
Unit4 is hiring a Senior Performance Support Specialist to provide proactive performance and technical support for Unit4 Financials by Coda before and after go-live. The role covers performance tuning and troubleshooting across new implementations and existing business-as-usual environments, including both technical and application aspects. The specialist will develop enhanced monitoring, detection, and remediation of performance issues, as well as ongoing tuning processes to maintain optimal performance. The role is part of a three-person Unit4 Financials by Coda team, working alongside a Senior Performance & Optimisation Consultant and a Database Administrator. The position is fully remote, with occasional customer visits that may require in-person travel. The successful candidate will comply with company information-security requirements and business procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of the Unit4 Financials by Coda application.
- At least 5 years of experience in customer success and performance optimisation.
- Hands-on use of AI productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot.
- Ability to use AI to improve productivity and identify automation opportunities.
- Previous experience in a database-centric, web-enabled environment.
- Ability to perform database tuning using SQL queries, indexes, statistics, and database views.
- Understanding of database replication.
- Understanding of web services and extension kit flows.
- Experience with Java-based applications and Java containers such as JBOSS and Wildfly.
- Experience implementing systems into SaaS Azure infrastructures.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and fundamental networking concepts and protocols.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Logical problem-solving ability and use of a sound methodology.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Enthusiastic and flexible approach.
- Strong team-player skills.
- Comfort with occasional travel for in-person customer meetings.
Responsibilities
- Tune the performance of Unit4 Financials by Coda before and after go-live.
- Troubleshoot technical and application performance issues across new implementations and existing implementations.
- Develop enhanced, proactive monitoring, detection, and remediation of performance issues.
- Develop proactive, continuous performance-tuning processes to maintain optimal performance levels.
- Comply with the company's information-security requirements and business procedures and policies.
