Senior Performance Marketing Manager

FieldguideSan Francisco, CA
$150,000 - $170,000Remote

About The Position

Fieldguide is seeking a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to own paid marketing as a growth engine for the company. This role involves managing paid search, paid social, third-party media, landing page conversion, and the website as a demand generation tool. The goal is for paid channels to deliver 30-50% of high-quality MQLs and 30% of total pipeline. This is a hands-on, senior-level position where the individual will build and optimize campaigns directly, not manage an agency. The role requires closing a measurement gap due to an ongoing attribution rebuild and building an in-house conversion optimization program. The ideal candidate will leverage AI daily to enhance productivity and efficiency. Fieldguide is a remote-first company backed by prominent investors, valuing diversity, inclusion, and a supportive culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B performance or growth marketing with clear ownership of a paid budget and pipeline number.
  • Experience at a scale relevant to the company's growth, with monthly paid spend and pipeline contribution in the scaling range.
  • Hands-on, hands-to-keyboard paid experience, having personally built, structured, and optimized paid search and paid social campaigns recently.
  • Full-funnel and revenue thinking, able to trace paid dollars to MQL, SQL, SQO, and closed revenue.
  • Real experience with attribution models and event-based tracking, ideally in an environment with imperfect data.
  • In-house CRO and landing page testing experience, including cadence, backlog prioritization, and win rate.
  • HubSpot fluency.
  • Fluency in ad platforms: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Vendor and agency management experience, capable of holding agencies to hypotheses and metrics.
  • Specific, demonstrable AI practice in paid execution, with ability to show workflows, inputs, and what they replaced.
  • High personal standards, measuring work against category best practices.
  • B2B experience with a considered, multi-stakeholder sale.
  • Professional services, accounting, audit, or fintech experience is a plus.
  • B2C or PLG-only experience is not a fit.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in professional services, accounting, audit, or fintech.

Responsibilities

  • Own paid search (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) end-to-end, including keyword strategy, bid management, ad copy, negatives hygiene, and landing page pairing.
  • Drive CPA down and pipeline efficiency up in paid search.
  • Own paid social (LinkedIn Ads) end-to-end, including audiences, creative testing, bidding, conversion tracking, and lead handoff.
  • Build into emerging paid surfaces where the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) is active.
  • Own third-party media and paid distribution (programmatic display, native, OLV, DOOH, content syndication), including agency and trading desk relationships.
  • Own the conversion surface, including landing page performance, CRO test roadmap, demo request path, form and gating strategy, and the website as a demand gen tool.
  • Run the testing program in-house for conversion optimization.
  • Own the budget, including allocation across channels, in-quarter reallocation, monthly forecast vs. actual, and agency spend management.
  • Provide kill-or-scale recommendations per channel and vendor quarterly.
  • Close the measurement gap by building full-funnel paid measurement, including attribution models, event-based tracking, and a clear line from spend to pipeline to revenue, in partnership with RevOps and Marketing Ops.
  • Use AI to multiply output by building workflows that allow one person to do the work of a team, and implementing agentic monitoring for anomalies.
  • Share AI workflows to compound leverage.
