Caterpillar’s BCP division is hiring for Senior Performance and Integration Engineer in Sanford, NC or Clayton, NC (CMDC) . Role Summary: This role provides technical and project leadership for the performance and integration of CTL, SSL, and CUL machine and W ork T ool systems. The position leads complex, cross ‑ functional initiatives by building strong collaborative relationships across Product, Engineering, Software, and Manufacturing teams. With ownership of system ‑ level requirements, analysis, tuning, and validation, this role ensures the delivery of high ‑ quality, customer ‑ focused solutions.

Requirements

Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating , and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives .
Requires a degree in accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum or equivalent industry experience.

Demonstrated ability to lead technology and integration projects by coordinating work across multiple cross functional teams, influencing outcomes through strong relationships rather than authority.
Proven experience developing, integrating, and supporting complex machine or vehicle systems, with system level ownership of requirements, performance, and functional interactions.
Hands on experience tuning machine or vehicle systems in real-world applications and validating overall system functionality and performance to meet customer and product requirements.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with customers and Product Teams to define and execute a multi ‑ generational product plan for CTL, SSL, and CUL machine and Work Tool systems.
Develop, productionize, and support best ‑ in ‑ class machine performance and system integration through close collaboration with Product Engineering, Commercial, Engineering Systems, and Software teams.
Partner with manufacturing locations to ensure in ‑ process validation meets defined customer and product requirements.
Perform in ‑ application tuning of machine and tool systems and validate overall system functionality and performance.
Lead the delivery of technology and integration projects by coordinating activities across cross ‑ functional teams.
Mentor and develop engineers by sharing technical expertise , providing guidance on system integration and tuning, and fostering strong cross ‑ functional collaboration and engineering best practices.
Deliver timely , high ‑ quality requirements, analysis, and tuning that impact products and processes, providing clear data ‑ driven recommendations to stakeholders.
Stay current on emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement of tools, methods, and engineering practices.
