About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Senior Performance Analysis Engineer to support the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program office in Huntsville, Alabama. The position is contingent upon prime contractor approval and supports analysis and assessment of GMD systems for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The engineer will conduct mission and system performance analyses to evaluate weapon-system effectiveness, engagement performance, and operational capability across a range of threat scenarios. The role involves developing and maintaining MATLAB, Python, and C++ analysis tools; developing and analyzing modeling and simulation environments; and assessing Ground-Based Interceptor (GBI) and Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) performance. The engineer will also provide quick-response analysis for the In-Flight Interceptor Communication System Data Terminal (IDT), including kinematic battlespace assessments and other time-sensitive technical analyses. Findings and recommendations will be communicated to engineering teams, program leadership, and government stakeholders. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, at least seven years of relevant experience, demonstrated experience supporting MDA GMD programs, and an active Secret clearance that can be maintained. Travel is minimal, at 10% or less. The role includes prolonged periods sitting or standing, computer work, moving between worksites, communicating with others, and light work involving objects up to 20 pounds. Employment is contingent upon prime contractor approval and successful completion of applicable pre-employment requirements.
