About The Position

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. This role involves the installation and qualification of industry-leading PVD/CVD equipment in Micron’s cleanroom. The engineer will be responsible for PVD/CVD (Physical Vapor Deposition/Chemical Vapor Deposition) equipment performance, including data analysis, preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation. Key aspects include collaborating with process engineers to resolve equipment-related production issues, using project management methodologies to address hardware deficiencies, and establishing productive vendor relations to ensure benchmark equipment performance. The position also requires developing and implementing Total Productive Maintenance strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a related occupation
  • OR 7 years of work experience in job offered or in a related occupation
  • Working in Fab process areas, including area processing equipment
  • Working with PVD or CVD equipment for semiconductor manufacturing
  • Identifying gaps and opportunities for workstation efficiencies: reviewing SPC, tool history, and data analysis to identify PM frequency optimization opportunities
  • Maintaining tool matching and driving machine hardware and software consistency
  • Planning for required capacity and product mix by ensuring equipment performance for projected variances
  • TPM: TPM metrics, WS health reports, CIP items, machine tags, machine operating procedure documents, and restoration guides
  • Managing inventory levels: adding and removing inventory, kitting BOMs, and vendor recommended spare parts

  • PVD/CVD equipment performance, including data analysis, preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation
  • Collaborate with process engineers to identify and resolve equipment-related issues affecting production
  • Use project management methodology to complete projects that close hardware gaps around equipment deficiencies
  • Establish productive vendor relations to maintain supplier engagement and drive benchmark equipment performance
  • Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance strategies
