About The Position

Nottingham Spirk has an immediate opening for an experienced PCB Layout Designer. The ideal candidate is located in the Cleveland metro area, willing to relocate to Northeast Ohio or lives within a 4-hour drive of Cleveland, Ohio. Requirements

  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant career experience including PCB layout design experience with various types of high-speed, multi-layered boards
  • Advanced proficiency in AD-related software (Altium, PADS, Xpedition, and others if possible)
  • The ability and desire to “flex” between military, medical, consumer, and industrial product types
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status

Responsibilities

  • Libraries management, PCB layout, component placement review and approval
  • Develops PCB layout solutions
  • Leads PCB layout reviews (including high speed feedback, e.g. crosstalk analysis and best practice strategies)
  • Works with cross-functional product development teams in supporting product development
  • Maintains PADS libraries
  • Quotes PCB layout projects based on customer requirements and engineering design team direction
  • Keeps up to date on latest high speed design techniques including PCB material selection, layer construction, manufacturing guidelines, and implementing into design as applicable
  • Selects and qualifies electronic components through collaboration with the engineering team
  • Creates engineering documentation that allows the manufacturing of PCBAs including schematics, bills of materials, assembly drawings
  • Works in a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of electrical hardware and mechanical engineers
  • Participates in periodic departmental and program meetings to ensure continuity and cohesion amongst the team
  • Demonstrates the ability to respect and support colleagues at all levels. Consistently contributes to a positive work environment for all associates. Mentors junior associates, as appropriate

Benefits

  • Total compensation salary range: $84,500 - $136,500. This range includes base salary, bonus potential, and benefits.
