About The Position

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to fill the role of Senior PC Maintenance Technician. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a diverse and highly skilled team dedicated to mission success. The Senior PC Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties related to the maintenance, troubleshooting, deployment, and support of computer hardware and software systems within a large military hospital environment.

Requirements

  • Active Tier III Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one
  • 5+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise or DoD IT environments
  • Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware, operating systems, and peripherals
  • Experience with IT service management and ticketing systems
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with end users and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a structured, regulated environment
  • Familiarity with DoD IT policies, training systems, and compliance requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • IAT Level I certification in accordance with DoD 8570/8140 requirements (e.g., CompTIA A+ or Security+)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of senior personnel, including the Site Manager and Workflow Manager, to support daily IT operations
  • Diagnose and resolve common computer operating system, hardware, and software issues
  • Serve as an operator under close supervision or perform assigned components of more complex tasks led by senior technicians
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, including loading and replenishing consumables (e.g., paper, media, peripherals)
  • Respond to end-user and client inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Document all work activities within the designated ticketing system, including updating the status of open tickets
  • Review system error messages, implement corrective actions when appropriate, or escalate issues as required
  • Conduct customer satisfaction follow-ups and respond to user inquiries to ensure service quality
  • Test new or modified software and assist with system or program modifications as directed
  • Ensure end-user self-service tools and resources remain current and accurate
  • Provide required operational statistics and reporting inputs to designated personnel
  • Track customer issues through resolution to ensure accountability and service continuity
  • Install software, configure hardware, and perform system setups as required
  • Manage and resolve support tickets via email, phone, and on-site support when necessary
  • Perform basic printer and scanner installation and troubleshooting
  • Maintain, manage, and update technical and procedural documentation
  • Establish and manage user accounts for network access and required annual training systems
  • Coordinate with other DoD facilities regarding Permanent Change of Station (PCS), deployments, and Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments to ensure accurate system updates
  • Track Information Management Division (IMD) cyber-related training requirements and update staff profiles within ATCTS (Army Training Certification Tracking System) to ensure compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is required to fulfill the essential functions of the position
