About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Sr Payroll Specialist to oversee bi-weekly payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, handling expenses, and managing deductions. This role involves uploading records, processing payroll calculations across various pay cycles, and managing garnishments. You will also assist with payroll tax processing and audits, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and provincial tax regulations.

Requirements

5+ years of payroll experience.
Experience with mid-large ERP systems (UKG Pro, Kronos preferred).
Intermediate proficiency in Excel.

Nice To Haves

CPP or FCP preferred; must be willing to sit for the certification.

Responsibilities

Oversee bi-weekly payroll processes, including payment processing, expenses, and deductions.
Upload records, deductions, and retroactive increases in the payroll system.
Process payroll calculations on various pay cycles and manage garnishments.
Assist with payroll tax processing at the end of the month.
Ensure accurate and timely payments of all federal, state, local, and provincial withholding and unemployment taxes, including CPP, EI, and Workers Compensation.
Assist with both internal and external payroll tax audits.
Support project-based work during implementation projects and software updates, including running mock payrolls and creating reports for the team.
