About The Position

The Senior Payroll Specialist is the senior subject‑matter expert and operational lead for payroll across assigned regions, ensuring exceptional accuracy, compliance, risk management, and stakeholder confidence. The Senior Payroll Specialist provides expert guidance on complex payroll matters, drives harmonization and continuous improvement, and plays a critical role in shaping regional payroll strategy, controls, and capability. This position reports to Payroll Manager- EMEA and is part of the Corporate organization. Candidates that currently sit on-site or remotely will maintain their current location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business or minimum of 7 years of related payroll experience
  • 5+ years of experience processing complex payroll, in a multi-country environment.
  • Deep, expert‑level understanding of end‑to‑end payroll operations and statutory requirements and extensive experience managing complex, multi‑country payroll environments
  • Expert in payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, SAP, or similar.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot payroll issues and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior‑level ownership for complex, high‑risk, or multi‑country payrolls across EMEA and act as the recognized expert for payroll calculations, statutory interpretation, and regulatory changes
  • Process complex multi-country payrolls with precision and timeliness. Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll regulations. Manage off-cycle payments, adjustments, and final pay calculations. Prepare and submit required filings and reports.
  • Validate and correct payroll data prior to processing. Escalate and resolve payroll discrepancies. Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities. Interpret payroll policies across jurisdictions.
  • Maintain and audit employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, benefits, and direct deposits. Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate on payroll system upgrades, integrations, and configuration to ensure regional consistency. Support the rollout of standardized payroll workflows across the region.
  • Support documentation and implementation of standardized payroll procedures. Provide input on harmonization milestones and system enhancements.
