About The Position

The Farmer's Dog is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of payroll operations. This role involves managing end-to-end payroll processing using Workday Payroll and OSV, resolving payroll inquiries, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive continuous improvements. The ideal candidate will focus on operational excellence and problem-solving, support key payroll initiatives, provide actionable insights, and contribute to system enhancements while prioritizing the employee experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including data analysis and reporting.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, naturally curious and proactive self-starter, constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and solutions.
• An owner, have excellent problem-solving skills and can prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail.
• Detail-oriented and proactive, thrive as a self-starter and excel in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Skilled communicator and have the ability to absorb and distill complexity into simple terms to drive decision making.
• Love dogs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Workday Payroll and collaboration with OSV (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Execute accurate and timely bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing using Workday Payroll and OSV.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, proactively identifying and addressing risks.
• Act as a payroll subject matter expert, responding to employee inquiries and resolving issues efficiently and with care.
• Proactively identify opportunities to leverage AI for automation and workflow optimization to reduce manual, repetitive tasks.
• Perform regular audits to validate payroll data integrity and compliance, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
• Collaborate with Humans Operations, HRIS, Finance, Legal, and Workforce Management to ensure seamless payroll operations (including reconciliations and payroll funding).
• Generate and analyze payroll reports to provide insights into payroll trends and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot payroll system issues and support system configuration updates in Workday Payroll and OSV.
