About The Position

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is currently seeking a Full Time Senior Payroll Accountant.
Provides support to the payroll department and ensures the timely and accurate processing of payroll records by compiling, organizing, and entering data into the Agency Employee Information System.
Responsible for the overall financial activities and a function of a major not-for-profit social service organization includes analytical review of general ledger accounts and preparation of financial statements in accordance with corporate policies and generally accepted accounting principles.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
• 1-3 years experience in a payroll, accounting or finance field preferred.
• Must have experience filing and processing Federal & State payroll tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the payroll department
• Ensures the timely and accurate processing of payroll records by compiling, organizing, and entering data into the Agency Employee Information System.
• Responsible for the overall financial activities
• Analytical review of general ledger accounts
• Preparation of financial statements in accordance with corporate policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
