Under supervision, this role coordinates patient scheduling, performs specialized data support, and administrative services in support of the Heart and Vascular Center. The Senior Patient Services Specialist schedules complex inpatient and outpatient Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology procedures, communicates surgical schedules to professional offices, and coordinates and escalates scheduling conflict resolution as appropriate. This role also completes the entry of patient charges for billing purposes and surgical journal/record information for business intelligence reporting, and conducts additional patient charge research.
