About The Position

The Senior Patient Service Representative role provides administrative support to patients and clinicians. Key duties include handling patient registration, scheduling, billing inquiries, MyChart support, and ensuring necessary authorizations are in place. The position also involves resolving issues, training staff, managing scheduling templates, and addressing patient concerns. Additional responsibilities may include supporting other departments and coordinating insurance access.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of three years’ healthcare experience (vision, Dental and Veterinary accepted)
  • A minimum of four years' customer service experience required, preferably within a healthcare environment
  • Three years of experience in automated scheduling in physician office preferred
  • Multi-provider medical office experience is highly desired
  • Experience working with patients and providers
  • Using Epic (electronic health record) required
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of telephone calls, with strong follow-through is highly desired
  • Ability to take initiative, learn quickly and actively, participate as part of an administrative team is also required
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel, and Google applications, as well as an ability to learn new programs with ease
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff, volunteers and the general public
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable with people in all stages of health and healing
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain clinic, provider, RN and patient confidentiality
