About The Position

With convenient hours and locations, we offer a full range of multidisciplinary services to address all of your health concerns. As a Senior Patient Registrar, you’ll play a vital role in creating a seamless and supportive experience for our patients. This is a full time 36.25 scheduled hour weekly, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, overtime as needed. The position is based in our Fresh Meadows location and may need to travel to other locations if needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of clerical experience
Proficient in computer skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Completed some college coursework
Familiar with health insurance requirements
Experience working in a busy medical practice
Epic experience

Responsibilities

Registering patients and scheduling appointments and procedures
Answers and directs incoming calls
Gathering demographic and insurance information
Obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations
Ensuring complete patient checkout, and follow up on physician's orders
Providing guidance and support to fellow administrative staff
Serving as a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care journey
