Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking a Senior Parallel File System Software Developer to provide technical leadership in researching, architecting, developing, maintaining, and integrating software and hardware solutions for scalable storage services within the Livermore Computing high-performance computing center. This role involves applying subject-matter expertise and independent technical judgment to advance and sustain production parallel file systems, including resolving complex software defects and architectural issues in collaboration with system administration staff and external partners. The developer will independently lead the technical evaluation, design, integration, and sustainment of software fixes, upstream patches, and locally developed enhancements for large-scale Linux systems. Additionally, this position will establish technical direction for innovative software capabilities in Lustre and ZFS file systems. This role is within the Livermore Computing Division of the Computing Principal Associate Directorate and offers a hybrid work option, allowing for remote work with regular visits to LLNL.
