Our West Palm Beach office is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal/Investigator to take on a key role within a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of cases, and knows how to keep matters moving efficiently from initial intake through resolution or trial. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable working closely with attorneys while also providing leadership and guidance to other members of the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in personal injury and/or medical malpractice
  • Strong working knowledge of Florida civil litigation and litigation procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently manage priorities and take ownership of a busy caseload.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ten or more years of experience in Personal Injury and/or Medical Malpractice cases, or as an insurance adjustor.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) required.
  • Must be familiar with trial preparation, preparing exhibits and deposition designations, and analyzing/summarizing medical records.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Paralegal certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong professional and community relationships.
  • Established referral relationships, community connections, or the ability to help generate new business would be a significant plus.
  • FileVine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the progression of cases, including deadlines, discovery, depositions, mediations, expert coordination, and trial preparation.
  • Handle and oversee prospective client intakes and ensure files are organized, complete, and litigation-ready.
  • Coordinate medical records, case documentation, experts, witnesses, exhibits, and other case materials.
  • Work closely with attorneys on complex litigation and significant personal injury and medical malpractice matters.
  • Lead, mentor, and support paralegals and other team members while promoting accountability and high performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, communication, and overall case management.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and responsive point of contact for clients throughout the litigation process.
