Job Summary: Experienced Painter with over 5 years in residential and commercial projects, skilled in surface preparation, advanced finishing techniques, and crew supervision. Proven ability to lead teams, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality results while maintaining safety and efficiency on job sites.

Requirements

Advanced knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and finishes
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to read blueprints and project specifications
Excellent attention to detail and quality control
Time management and ability to handle multiple projects
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency with spray equipment and specialty coatings
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of professional painting experience

Nice To Haves

Prior experience leading or supervising a team preferred
Certifications in safety (e.g., OSHA) are a plus

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of painting crew members
Plan and assign tasks based on project scope and deadlines
Prepare surfaces (sanding, patching, priming) to ensure proper adhesion and finish
Apply paint, coatings, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray systems
Inspect work to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with specifications
Train and mentor junior painters and new hires
Estimate materials, track usage, and minimize waste
Communicate with clients, contractors, and project managers regarding progress and expectations
Enforce safety standards and proper use of protective equipment
Troubleshoot issues such as uneven coatings, weather impacts, or surface defects
