The agency operates accounts in USD, CAD, EUR, and AUD, with a unique AI-native approach where strategy and execution are handled by the same individual. Their daily workflow integrates AI tools like Claude Code with custom skills and Python scripts that directly interact with advertising platform APIs. They emphasize a precision protocol requiring labeled claims and exact numbers in all deliverables, viewing AI not just as a tool but as the core method of work. They are seeking a part-time contract Senior Paid Search Specialist who either already works this way or can quickly adapt to their AI-centric methodology.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing paid search at an agency.
  • At least one role where independent client relationship ownership was demonstrated.
  • Strong command of Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen) and Microsoft Ads.
  • Fluency in Smart Bidding is non-negotiable.
  • Demonstrated experience across both lead generation and eCommerce.
  • Comfort with attribution complexity, including GA4, platform-reported conversions, cross-source reconciliation, and familiarity with post-click pixel tools (Triple Whale, Northbeam, or similar).
  • Proven track record of remote work with strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and execute code (Python) that interacts with the Google Ads API, parse JSON, run GAQL queries, and work in a terminal.
  • Experience using AI agents like Claude Code or Cursor as part of a daily workflow for shipping work, not just for Q&A.
  • Ability to explain complex AI concepts (e.g., Smart Bidding, Performance Max signals) clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of platform-level AI changes (Smart Bidding, PMax, AI-generated assets, Demand Gen) with informed opinions.
  • Discipline in analytical work, labeling claims (extracted, inferred, assumed), using exact numbers, and flagging missing data.

Nice To Haves

  • Vertical depth in medical aesthetics, DTC eCommerce on Shopify, regulated retail (cannabis, alcohol), or B2B SaaS.
  • Comfort with Looker Studio or willingness to learn.
  • Experience working in non-USD accounts (CAD, EUR, AUD).
  • Paid social literacy (Meta, LinkedIn).
  • Google Ads certification.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy and execution for a portfolio of three to five accounts, with monthly spend ranging from $1K to $40K, across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
  • Prepare weekly per-account performance write-ups in .docx format and monthly client-ready summaries.
  • Conduct ad-hoc deep dives for campaign issues or opportunities.
  • Direct client communication, including written updates, scheduled review calls, and strategy presentations.
  • Manage end-to-end campaign tasks: account structure, Smart Bidding strategy and target calibration, Performance Max asset groups and signal feeding, search term mining, negative list management, ad copy creation, feed audits, and landing page feedback.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between platforms like Triple Whale and GA4.
  • Proactively identify and propose opportunities across the portfolio, such as branded budget unlocks, PMax channel shifts, Demand Gen tests, and geo or bidding migrations.
