Vituity is seeking a Senior PACS Administrator & Imaging Informatics Lead to serve as the senior technical expert for PACS/RIS and related imaging systems across approximately 20 radiology sites and growing. This role involves performing advanced troubleshooting, system configuration, DICOM/HL7 integrations, database maintenance, upgrades, and downtime procedures. The individual will own escalated technical issues, system optimizations, and provide hands-on support for complex clinical imaging workflows. Responsibilities include system monitoring, image archiving, DICOM routing, and performance tuning. The role also entails administering interface engines (Mirth Connect or equivalent), voice dictation systems, Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), and RIS. Server administration, SQL databases, HL7 integrations, and high-availability/disaster recovery configurations are key aspects. The position supports go-live activations, including overnight on-call coverage. Additionally, the Senior PACS Administrator & Imaging Informatics Lead will act as the accountable Product Owner for all radiology imaging applications, defining and communicating product vision and priorities, maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog, and partnering with vendors to manage product roadmaps. This includes facilitating requirements gathering, evaluating new radiology products, and overseeing daily radiology IT operations to ensure high uptime and adherence to service level objectives. The role also involves driving continuous process improvement, leading or mentoring PACS staff, coordinating with hospital IT teams, managing change control processes, leading PACS system selection initiatives, and driving implementation projects. Budgeting, strategic planning, KPI development, and long-term imaging informatics roadmap contributions are also expected.
