Senior Outbound Product Manager

Harness
•$165,000 - $215,000

About The Position

Harness is seeking a Senior Outbound Product Manager to own the growth of the Internal Developer Portal (IDP) within its Strategic Products Growth team. This role involves driving a product-led growth motion for a product with existing revenue and users, historically sold through a sales-led approach. The successful candidate will shape market perception of developer portals in the context of AI and agentic workflows, carrying a new Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) target for the IDP product line. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and strong communication skills to act as a product specialist for the sales team, deliver compelling product demonstrations, support technical discovery, and drive thought leadership around AI's impact on developer experience. The role also involves building the go-to-market kit, including content, collateral, and sales enablement materials, and feeding product gaps back to engineering. Key responsibilities include supporting sales efforts, developing content, and growing IDP towards a self-sustaining motion. Activities outside the scope of this role include self-serve billing and activation infrastructure, new logo prospecting, in-account adoption and renewals, and paid demand generation.

Requirements

  • Demo-native and comfortable carrying a number.
  • A technical, sales-engineering-like background, capable of earning customer trust and commanding a room.
  • Strong educator and communicator instincts.
  • Experience with developer experience and developer platforms.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership on AI's impact on DevX; holding opinionated views backed by experience.
  • Comfortable operating between senior and staff level.
  • Travel flexibility to support field functions.
