About The Position

LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. (LGES Vertech), a subsidiary of LG Energy Solution, provides grid-scale integrated energy storage systems. The Senior OT Network Engineer will help design, plan, and implement networks for LGES Vertech integrated SCADA systems and products. The role focuses on production and SCADA network infrastructure for industrial operations and customer production sites, collaborating with systems engineering, corporate teams, field teams, customers, and third-party suppliers. The engineer will also support network reliability, cybersecurity, documentation, continuous improvement, and technical guidance.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, SNMP, Modbus, DNP3, Ethernet/IP, and industrial communication protocols.
Proficiency configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls, especially Cisco, MOXA, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably focused on complex and critical infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with network security practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, remote access VPN, and IPSEC L2L.
Strong working knowledge of ICS network security monitoring tools, particularly for network visibility, vulnerability management, and asset management.
Technical cybersecurity and programmatic understanding of security best practices, preferably NERC CIP.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Communication skills to collaborate with management, team members, and customers and explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site deployments, maintenance, and collaboration with remote teams.
A degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another concentration combined with direct on-the-job training.
Eight to ten years of experience directly related to developing, implementing, and managing Ethernet network and cybersecurity designs, preferably in an industry dealing with critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Plan and design LG Vertech production and SCADA network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Collaborate with systems engineering to develop cost-effective, scalable network designs and solutions for LG SCADA integrated products.
Configure and optimize network devices to support communication and data transfer between SCADA components and other network systems.
Work with customers, commissioning teams, and field teams to implement networks at production sites according to design specifications.
Monitor, identify, and resolve network issues such as connectivity problems, hardware failures, and performance bottlenecks.
Conduct network troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain efficient communication between SCADA systems.
Implement and maintain network security measures against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches; monitor security and respond to incidents.
Maintain documentation of network designs, configurations, and processes.
Conduct network assessments, performance evaluations, and system audits.
Collaborate with LGES Corporate, third-party vendors, and suppliers to integrate products and solutions into the LGESVT SCADA network.
Keep current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to improve SCADA network design and implementation.
Provide training and technical guidance to technical support teams as needed.
