About The Position
ASRC Federal Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior Oracle / SQL Server Database Administrator to support database administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting in an enterprise operations environment. The role works with Oracle databases, SQL Server, Linux, Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle GoldenGate, and collaborates with development, testing, and production support teams. An active Secret clearance is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
- Experience with Oracle 11, Oracle 12, and Oracle 19.
- Experience with Linux.
- Proficiency with Data Guard and standby server operation.
- Experience working with and supporting Agile processing.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to meet government background investigation and clearance requirements.
- Proficiency installing and maintaining Oracle GoldenGate.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities
- Perform database administration on Oracle servers.
- Perform database administration on SQL Server.
- Install database scripts and software applications on database and web application servers.
- Analyze and define database and security requirements.
- Develop database queries and apply patches in test and patch environments.
- Coordinate with testers and test leads on backup, rollback, and recovery plans.
- Configure, maintain, and support databases in an enterprise operations environment according to application instructions or requirements.
- Support Data-at-Rest encryption (TDE).
- Support Oracle GoldenGate data replication.
- Work with production support teams and software developers to resolve daily database issues.
- Troubleshoot errors involving database scripts, IIS configuration, Windows applications, and other sources.
