Senior Oracle DBA
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA with extensive experience in Oracle Database administration and architecture. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and cloud platforms, with a focus on driving database cloud migration and modernization. This role requires advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning skills, along with experience in installation, upgrades, patching, configuration, capacity planning, space management, performance tuning, storage management, backup and recovery, schema management, and report generation. Experience with Golden Gate, RAC components, multiple OS platforms (Linux/Windows), and logical/physical DB configuration is essential. The role also involves OEM installation and monitoring, alert resolution, and knowledge of PostgreSQL and Oracle database security. Familiarity with GG processes and experience with automation, scripting, and DevOps practices are highly valued. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are required.
Requirements
- 12+ years of Extensive experience with Oracle Database administration and architecture.
- Deep knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and cloud platforms
- Good knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
- Advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
- Well knowledge of RAC components related to hardware and software.
- Working knowledge in multiple platforms of OS (like Linux/Windows)8 and Dataguard configuration
- knowledge of logical and physical DB configuration
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL
- Good knowledge of GG processes like (Mgr/ extract / Pump / Replicate)
- Experience with automation, scripting, and DevOps practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills

Responsibilities
- Oracle software installation, upgrades, patching, database creation & configuration
- Capacity planning, Space management, performance tuning, storage management (Like ASM, Raw devices etc.)
- Back-up and recovery (Online / Offline), managing schemas, report generation
- Golden Gate installation, configuration, resolution and troubleshooting
- Golden Gate Monitoring LAG and RBA
- Logical backup strategy (like Data Dump or exp)
- RAC (Management, configuration, process relocation)
- OEM installation and monitoring of DB
- Alert resolution related to DB like (ORA)
- Oracle database security (users, profiles, privs, roles, etc.)
- Drive Database cloud migration & modernization
- Automation, scripting, and DevOps practices
