We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Oracle Database Engineer to join our team. This role is located in not specified in Pittsburgh, Lake Mary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred
- 10-12 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- 7+ years of Oracle Database engineering or administration experience.
- Strong expertise with Oracle Database 19c/26ai, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and OEM.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata.
- Experience with TDE, Oracle Key Vault, and database security controls.
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Shell).
- Experience supporting Linux-based database environments.
- Strong database performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Azure, OCI, or hybrid cloud architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design and support Oracle databases on Exadata and cloud platforms, including Oracle Database@Azure.
- Engineer high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery solutions using RAC, Data Guard, and ZDLRA.
- Implement database security controls including TDE, Oracle Key Vault, auditing, and compliance standards.
- Automate database provisioning, patching, cloning, refreshes, and operational workflows using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and APIs.
- Support database migrations, GoldenGate replication, and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance for mission-critical Oracle databases.
- Participate in vulnerability remediation, platform upgrades, and technology modernization programs.
