About The Position

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Senior Oracle APEX Developer to support a major national laboratory. This role involves collaborating with team members on software systems and applications, from planning and requirements gathering to development, testing, documentation, and support. The developer will contribute to the design of reusable software tools and subsystems, assist in interpreting software requirements, and ensure the integration and testing of software components meet project objectives. The position requires analyzing functional business applications, developing block diagrams and logic flow charts, and translating detailed designs into high-quality software products through coding, debugging, and refinement. Additionally, the role includes preparing comprehensive documentation, enhancing software efficiency, and providing technical direction to other programmers to meet project deadlines. Experience in information system design, large-scale database management systems, and complex software development is essential.

Requirements

BS/BA in relevant discipline plus minimum 9 years or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
Oracle APEX and PL/SQL developer with experience implementing integrations using REST API calls.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance
US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

Javascript experience is a plus.
Oracle EBS Financials experience is a plus.
Experience implementing A.I. capabilities in Oracle APEX is a plus.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to investigate, plan, gather requirements, design, develop, test, document, analyze problems, and support software systems and applications.
Support the design of software tools and subsystems that support reuse and domain analysis.
Assist Applications Engineers and Programmers in interpreting software requirements and design specifications.
Code, integrate, and test software components to ensure they meet project objectives.
Analyze functional business applications and design specifications across various areas, including finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.
Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.
Translate detailed designs into computer software.
Test, debug, and refine software to produce high-quality products.
Prepare comprehensive documentation.
Enhance software to improve efficiency.
Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure project deadlines are met.
Experience in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management systems and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.
