Senior Optical Engineer

Requirements
- Proficiency in Matlab/Python, optical design software (Zemax/Code V), and laser systems.
- Understanding of Fourier optics, polarization, and high numerical aperture (NA) microscope objectives.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Zemax to design illumination and imaging paths, perform tolerancing, and analyze stray light.
- Create error budgets, conduct image simulations, and optimize laser beam propagation or optical coatings.
- Build and align prototype optical systems in the lab, including laser and detector characterization.
- Work with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering teams to transition designs to manufacturing.
