About The Position

FALCATA is hiring a Senior OPIR Analyst (GEOINT Analyst) to perform sensor data fusion and reconstruction in support of research and operational requirements. The role provides analysis training and ad hoc instruction on sensor data, fusion, and reconstruction tools; supports mission planning for events involving new targets or collection methods; and resolves post-event sensor and sensor-data anomalies. The analyst also helps assess uncertainties in the collection and fusion of data from multiple sensors, supports real-time algorithms and processes that make better use of sensor capabilities, and implements physics-based solutions. The position provides subject-matter expertise on sensors, data analysis, and intelligence production related to missile and space launch systems, supporting trajectory analysis of events of interest. The posting identifies Aurora, Colorado, as the base and Denver, Colorado, as the work location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 or more years of relevant experience; relevant experience may possibly be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Experience with intelligence analysis and tradecraft in support of the military or the Intelligence Community.
  • Proficiency in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) analysis and reporting.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance is stated as a candidate requirement in the introductory description.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong analytical skills for researching, assembling, and interpreting geospatial intelligence data.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with intelligence quality control (IQC) processes for geospatial and intelligence products.
  • Knowledge of data management, imagery manipulation, and backup procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for intelligence briefings and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sensor data fusion and reconstruction in support of research and operational requirements.
  • Provide analysis training classes and ad hoc training on the use of sensor data, fusion, and reconstruction tools.
  • Support mission planning for upcoming events involving new targets and/or collection methods.
  • Resolve post-event anomalies involving sensors and sensor data, and assist in assessing and describing collection and multi-sensor fusion anomalies and uncertainties.
  • Support real-time algorithms and processes to better utilize sensor capabilities and implement physics-based solutions.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on sensors, data analysis, and intelligence production related to missile and space launch systems in support of trajectory analysis.
  • Facilitate and synchronize analytical operations across the Intelligence Community enterprise and within the ADF-C in support of the NGA-D Analysis Directorate.
  • Provide technical and subject-matter expertise to NGA on mission readiness and integration of capabilities, tools, techniques, and processes, drawing on knowledge of OPIR processes, sensors, architecture, GEOINT, and IC missions.
  • Support development of analysis solutions and intelligence products for NGA.
  • Use NGA GEOINT analytic hardware and software to assess the technical and programmatic capabilities of new or developmental data-processing techniques.
  • Provide software updates and training on mission-critical tools and capabilities to support their transition into operational workflows.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise for advanced analysis of hard target sets.
  • Research new systems and technologies to develop analytic methodologies for exploitation.
