About The Position

As a Senior Operator, Production, you will perform all production activities and operate production equipment in accordance with the plant capacity and in conformity with SHE requirements, SOP’s, quality standard and production schedules. You will also be responsible for operating the process with minimal supervision; analyzing samples and making process decisions; performing and scheduling minor maintenance repairs. Schedule: This position follows a 12-hour rotating swing shift schedule (2-2-3 rotation). Team members work 2 days on, 2 days off, then 3 days on, with the pattern repeating throughout the year. Shift Hours: Day Shift: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM Night Shift: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM Swing Shift Rotation: Month 1: Work the day shift (5:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Month 2: Work the night shift (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM) Employees rotate between day and night shifts on a monthly basis and work a combination of weekdays, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required; completion of a chemical/petrochemical operations program or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
  • Experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, with a preference for 4+ years of plant operations experience.
  • Strong understanding of process safety, personal safety, and chemical plant operating procedures.
  • Proficient with computers, including spreadsheets and word processing applications.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and move 55-gallon drums using a drum cart.
  • Available to work a rotating 12-hour swing shift schedule, alternating monthly between days (5:00 AM-5:00 PM) and nights (5:00 PM-5:00 AM), 4 days per week, (2-2-3 rotation).

Responsibilities

  • Receive, transport, and stage raw materials, then charge process reactors according to SOPs and production instructions.
  • Monitor production equipment and process parameters, taking corrective action to maintain safe and controlled operations.
  • Collect and analyze samples using HPLC, interpret results, and make process-related decisions as appropriate.
  • Adhere to all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) requirements, SOPs, and waste minimization practices.
  • Perform minor maintenance activities within training and competency limits while following SHE guidelines.
  • Support manufacturing initiatives and operational excellence programs while meeting attendance, training, and performance requirements.
