About The Position

The Senior Operation Manager is responsible for the manufacturing performance, including safety, quality, delivery and cost of our operations for both our associates and customers. This position reports to the Plant Manager and is part of the site leadership team for Hollow Fiber Filtration located in Westborough, MA and will be an on-site role. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of functional experience in manufacturing engineering or operations leadership within a regulated or GMP environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics at a department or site level.
  • Proven experience driving continuous improvement using Lean / DBS methodologies.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally to solve complex manufacturing and capacity challenges.
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into clear operating plans and leadership behaviors.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA or Operations-focused).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or formal DBS practitioner experience.
  • Experience working in multi-shift, high-mix manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own manufacturing performance for assigned value streams or production areas, ensuring consistent execution across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Lead and develop multiple operations leaders, including managers and supervisors, with clear accountability, succession planning, and bench strength development.
  • Translate site and business unit objectives into executable operating plans, aligning daily management, metrics, and leader standard work.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to improve throughput, yield, labor efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Finance to proactively manage constraints, risks, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure Quality and EHS compliance, maintaining audit readiness and embedding safety and quality ownership within the operations leadership team.
  • Provide leadership-level insight on performance trends, risks, and trade-offs to the Plant Manager and site leadership team.
