About The Position

Solutions 2 GO is a premier global distributor of video game products with operations in 19 countries. We are seeking a Senior Operations Manager to identify, develop, and execute supply chain and operational strategies within the Louisville Distribution Center. This role oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, inventory control, labor planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations. The ideal candidate is a strong, visible leader who can inspire teams, coach managers and supervisors, and drive a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement. Collaboration with cross-functional partners is essential for seamless execution of strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of management-level experience in an automated distribution environment with a strong understanding of both outbound and inbound operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that enable clear and concise exchanges with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to drive complex projects or problems to a satisfactory solution for all parties involved.
  • Proficient computer skills, including work with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong/effective interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Team player with strong financial acumen and proven results in meeting/exceeding team-based performance goals based on safety, quality, speed, and operating expenses.
  • Proven analytical and planning skills.
  • Ability to be comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on management environment.
  • Must be fully available during the holiday period from October through December (including Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving). Candidates unavailable during these periods will not be considered, as this is a company-wide blackout policy.
  • Successful completion of a background check (which may include criminal background check, credit check, employment verification, education verification, and driver’s abstract review).

Responsibilities

  • Direct management of the Louisville Operations team, including warehouse operations, labor planning, budgeting/P&L, and strategic development and execution.
  • Present complex concepts to the executive team clearly and concisely for the advancement of operational strategies.
  • Serve as a key liaison between customers, suppliers, and operations for goal and initiative execution.
  • Ensure staff compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and drive measurable results.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage operational KPIs to ensure achievement of cost-per-unit, productivity, accuracy, and service-level objectives.
  • Implement process improvements by analyzing process workflow, resources, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing defined standards, practices, and procedures that comply with pertinent governmental and legal regulations and laws.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry standards, technology, and customer requirements within the area of supply chain services.
  • Manage a distribution environment that thrives on clear expectations and accountability for performance results.
  • Effectively lead and develop the workforce, including work performance management, coaching, and team motivation.
  • Manage peak season demands, including shift expansion, labor resource realignment, and management of a significant temporary workforce.
  • Collaborate with customers on special initiatives and projects, changes in schedules, and/or changes to meet the needs of a dynamic market.
  • Make operational adjustments in real-time to direct greater output or changing customer demands.
  • Display leadership to the Operations team through strategic goal setting, creative resolutions, employee communication, and feedback consistency.
  • Demonstrate a high level of collaboration and communication within the DC management team and business partners to ensure operational alignment.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local laws.
