The Operations Engineering Team Manager plays a key role in driving execution across major engineering initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing frameworks that support the successful delivery of strategic programs and operational priorities. The position leads the tracking and reporting of key performance metrics, evaluates program and process effectiveness, and provides actionable insights to support continuous improvement. This individual partners cross-functionally to translate strategic plans into measurable outcomes, ensuring alignment, accountability, and operational impact across the engineering organization.

Requirements

  • B.S. Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or other technical degree)
  • 10 - 12+ years in Data Center/Critical Infrastructure industry

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, development, and continuous evolution of the CyrusOne Data Center Operations Runbook, ensuring alignment with operational priorities, scalability across sites, and long-term sustainability.
  • Drive enterprise-level standardization across Operations Engineering by establishing and enforcing consistent processes, documentation, and execution models. Key areas include Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Engineering Change Management, site drawing and Sequence of Operations (SOO) control, and operating procedure governance and quality.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Reliability, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering leaders to translate technical requirements into scalable operational policies and programs, driving alignment, adoption, and consistent execution across the organization.
  • Identify systemic gaps, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies across existing processes, and lead cross-functional initiatives to address them—improving operational performance, reducing risk, and increasing overall effectiveness.
  • Establish and drive program-level metrics, reporting, and performance tracking to measure effectiveness, provide visibility to leadership, and inform data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
