About The Position

Headway's mission is to build a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access by solving the biggest barrier to care: insurance. We have automated the administrative work of credentialing, claims, and payment reconciliation. Over 75,000 providers across all 50 states use our software, serving over 1 million patients. We are developing tools for therapists to manage their practices, improving the process of finding a therapist, and building the platform foundations for scalability. The Operations team is crucial for enabling efficiency, growth, and quality, and this role will significantly impact Headway's trajectory by owning core workflows and processes that benefit patients, providers, and payer partners. As a Senior Operations Associate, you will operationalize and scale key workflows impacting hundreds of thousands of patients and providers. You will design and implement high-quality operational strategies and serve as an operational liaison to our product and data teams to drive future-oriented solutions. This role is vital for the operational health of our business, offering deep insights into the healthcare system. It's an opportunity to work in a data- and product-first environment and own critical business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting / operations / investment banking or related experience
  • Operations experience at a high-growth startup is a plus
  • Self-starter, constantly pushing toward clarity and execution
  • Highly data-driven and can drive complex analyses to identify key actionable insights
  • Collaborator who proactively partners across teams while holding others and yourself accountable for business results
  • Systems thinker, inclined to solve problems with product and automation

Responsibilities

  • Drive the build, execution, monitoring & ongoing implementation of scalable products and processes that enable us to deliver on core business challenges
  • Leverage your operational expertise to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and automation
  • Support and lead cross-functional efforts with our product, engineering, payer, and CX teams to drive core ops processes and achieve team OKRs.
