About The Position

This position is for a Senior Operations Administrator on the 3rd shift at the New London Prepared Plant. The role involves performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, ensuring food safety, supporting operational efficiency calculations, managing inventories, and acting as a liaison between plant leadership and the workforce. The position requires adherence to company policies and teamwork for coverage. This role is eligible for overtime pay and is paid weekly. It is primarily for internal candidates currently working at the facility, with priority given to them. Sponsorship is not available, and candidates must reside in the United States.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2 plus years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong organization, verbal, and written skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, Access, and Word systems.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information quickly and determine skillfully, with the ability to develop alternative solutions.
  • Must be able to and willing to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points (on application date).
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months.
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, document and calculate results accurately, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure personal and food safety, including record-keeping, reviewing pre-op paperwork, and supporting HACCP, SQF, and other food safety protocols.
  • Support the calculation of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by gathering and entering data, and creating and maintaining Performance Boards.
  • Take inventories, monitor inspection lots, and support employees and supervisors in the system.
  • Provide and monitor operations workflow through the design of workflows and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between plant leadership and the workforce to communicate processes, programs, problem-solving, and operational results.
  • Understand and comply with all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
  • Work as a team to cover vacations.
