About The Position

A growing, global industrial services organization is seeking a Senior Operational Auditor to join its Internal Audit team. This role offers a unique opportunity to move beyond traditional audit work and play a critical part in ensuring that operational execution aligns with customer agreements across manufacturing sites. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in internal audit, operational audit, accounting, or manufacturing finance
• Strong ability to interpret contracts and connect them to financial and operational outcomes
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Effective communicator comfortable working across plant operations and corporate teams
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/reporting tools (experience with systems like D365 or similar is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree required

Nice To Haves

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or similar environments preferred
• CPA, CIA, or similar certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret customer contracts to define scope, deliverables, and performance requirements
• Translate contract terms into clear operational expectations and measurable audit criteria
• Conduct operational audits to assess whether plant-level execution aligns with contractual obligations
• Perform site visits to manufacturing facilities to observe operations and validate compliance
• Partner with operations, finance, and leadership teams to identify gaps and drive improvements
• Evaluate risks related to operational performance, cost structure, and contract execution
• Identify opportunities to improve cash flow, reduce costs, and strengthen processes
• Prepare clear, actionable audit findings and present recommendations to leadership
• Contribute to the evolution of audit practices with a stronger focus on operational effectiveness
