About The Position

The Perioperative Care Associate III (PCA III) must be able to perform all duties of the Perioperative Care Associate II (PCA II). The PCA III, under direction, assists the surgical staff with patient care including transportation, supplies, equipment, instruments, and care of the environment. Assists the core facilitator with completion of case carts and preparation of positioning devices and equipment. Assists the surgical team with preparation of the surgical suite including opening of sterile items to the surgical field. Assists in the training of other Perioperative Care Associates. Assists with quality improvement processes. The PCA III works under guidance of the Surgical Technologist, Facilitator and RN and the direction of the Surgical Support Supervisor/Nurse Manager. Functions as a collaborative and participative member of an interdisciplinary team, consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Surgical Services department and Swedish Medical Center. Requirements

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year experience performing duties as a Perioperative Care Associate II or equivalent experience in a healthcare environment.
