About The Position

The Senior Operating Room Assistant (OR Core Tech or Set-Up Technician) retrieves and assembles (picks) all necessary supplies and equipment for each surgery procedure. Monitors instrument and supply levels in the sterile supply areas. They also coordinate the location of supplies in the sterile supply area; collaborates with materials management to address shortages, assisting in cleaning and preparing operating rooms; safely transporting patients; retrieving, decontamination of instrumentation, delivering equipment; processing and maintaining equipment and instruments; may assist with opening supplies before surgery. Requirements

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 2 years experience in the Operating Room

Responsibilities

  • Retrieves and assembles all necessary supplies and equipment for each surgery procedure.

  • May assist with opening supplies before surgery.
