About The Position

The Offshore Recovery team at Relativity Space is responsible for designing, building, and operating maritime vessels for Terran R launch vehicle recovery. This role is hands-on, covering the full project lifecycle from system requirements and design to build, activation in the shipyard, and supporting critical offshore recovery missions at sea. The Senior Offshore Recovery Electrical Engineer will lead the development of onboard power systems for recovery vessels, encompassing design, build, sea trials, certification, and mission support. The position also involves providing engineering support for various electrical systems, including low-voltage control, ground, and telemetry systems. A key aspect is supporting offshore recovery campaigns to ensure safe and effective system operation during landing and recovery. The engineer will apply lessons learned to future designs and improvements and contribute to establishing robust engineering and operational practices as the team expands.
