About The Position

A well-established multispecialty medical group in Tarzana, California, is hiring a Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist to lead the technical side of its nuclear cardiology service. This full-time, permanent, on-site role combines hands-on cardiac imaging with ownership of quality, workflow, and technical standards. The technologist will coordinate technical activities, oversee quality control and regulatory compliance, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, and serve as a technical resource and mentor to fellow technologists. The role collaborates with cardiologists, supervisors, and management to support an efficient, patient-focused service.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
Hold a California Nuclear Medicine Technology certificate by the start date.
Hold national certification by the start date: CNMT (NMTCB) or ARRT(N).
Obtain AHA BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification within 30 days of hire.
At least 4 years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist in a hospital or imaging center.

Nice To Haves

At least 5 years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist is preferred.
Nuclear cardiology experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform nuclear cardiology studies, including SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging and exercise and pharmacologic stress testing.
Plan, direct, and coordinate the technical activities of the nuclear medicine section.
Oversee quality control, equipment QC, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance for the section.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and maintain accurate dose records.
Serve as a technical expert and mentor for fellow technologists.
Partner with cardiologists, supervisors, and management to maintain an efficient, patient-focused service.
