About The Position

Join a high-performance development team delivering web applications to millions of users monthly in the fintech and media space. We value innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. We are a remote workforce that uses Slack, Zoom, Jira, and agile development practices to keep in sync. As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll be working on a fast paced team responsible for the code that powers our ultimate goal of helping people invest and be smarter, happier and richer. Successful Fools have well-formed opinions (stemming from their broad experience) and the ability to jump right into code independently.

Requirements

• 5+ years of developing highly performant and scalable web applications
• Proficiency with agentic workflows and AI-driven automation
• High level of proficiency in React, Next.js, Typescript, GraphQL and REST APIs
• Understanding of backend development using Python
• Experience with AWS
• Experience working with sophisticated application state, e.g. Apollo Client, Redux
• Experience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines for Python applications
• Proven track record in high-performance teams
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Familiarity with security best practices in web development

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using a variety of technologies, including but not limited to React, Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS and occasionally Python.
• Collaborate with other team members on best practices for efficient and sustainable engineering, focusing on achieving a balance between aesthetics, scalability, and performance.
• Provide and receive technical feedback through pair programming and code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, and leadership teams to anticipate future needs and align our technology roadmap with long-term goals.
