About The Position

This role is responsible for owning and optimizing the enterprise WAN and SD-WAN environment, ensuring resilient, high-performance connectivity across geographically distributed locations and critical business operations. The Senior Network WAN Engineer will serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex WAN and routing issues, leading root-cause analysis and restoring service across large-scale, multi-site production networks. This position will also drive continuous improvement of the network platform through SD-WAN optimization, upgrades, migrations, and operational enhancements across Cisco Meraki and Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN environments.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 8–10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale, geographically distributed WAN environments
  • Expert-level experience with Cisco Meraki SD-WAN
  • Expert-level experience with Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (Viptela)
  • Strong expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, route redistribution, policy control)
  • Strong expertise in WAN operations, failover, and traffic optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-site network issues under pressure
  • Experience working in mission-critical, high-availability environments
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Additional certifications strongly preferred: Cisco SD-WAN Specialist / Concentration exams
  • Additional certifications strongly preferred: CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure)
