Senior Network Support Engineer - Lake Buena Vista, FL
About The Position
Our enterprise-level client is seeking to add a Senior Network Support Engineer to the team to work onsite in Lake Buena Vista, FL. This role is responsible for the development and maintenance of network communications. Uses knowledge of LAN/MAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. This role must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS) routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems. Possesses one or more industry standard certifications including CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc. ITIL v3 studies expected is a plus. Familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Must be familiar with managed services concepts within an outsourcing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Experience configuring Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switches using IO-S and NX-OS.
- Experience configuring network layer 3 routing across a large multi-national organization on Cisco routers; Catalyst, ISR & ASR.
- Well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS) routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems.
- Possession of one or more industry standard certifications including CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc.
- Familiarity with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Familiarity with managed services concepts within an outsourcing environment.
- Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
