About The Position

SoHo Dragon is representing an Investment Bank client seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer for a 24-month contract. This hybrid role, based in Montreal, Quebec, involves operating and supporting network security infrastructure, leading security projects, and providing on-call support. The position requires strong communication skills in English for collaboration with US-based colleagues and partners. Due to potential applicability of US Federal Securities law, candidates may undergo an enhanced background screening, including fingerprint collection.

Requirements

• CCNP or CCIE (Security or Enterprise)
• Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Check Point certifications
• CISSP or equivalent security certification
• Bilingual (English and French)
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in network and network security engineering, including operational support and project delivery
• IT service management certifications (e.g., ITIL)

Responsibilities

• Operate and support network security infrastructure, including firewalls, web proxies, VPN gateways, and load balancers
• Lead and deliver network security projects
• Provide on-call support
